About This Project 

The Greg Hooven Archives Project was conceived after I visited Greg's dad, Donald, recently.  I decided that Greg's musical history deserved to be recorded. He earned a place in Old Time music history, and now that he's gone, that task must be taken on by those of us left to honor his memory.

Many of you reading this have your own memories - musically or otherwise - and I encourage you to send them to me. With your permission, I would like to add them to the Tall Tales page. Greg lived life with great intensity, and to understand his bridled musical talent wouldn't be possible without understanding his unbridled personality.
